I pursued a career in Chemistry because I wanted to help people. I wanted to find ways to make new medicines and help people live longer, healthier lives. I also wanted to help find new ways to produce energy and reduce our dependence on fossil fuels.

However, some of the key skills and qualities that are often necessary for success in this field include strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of chemistry principles and theory, strong math skills, creativity and innovation, attention to detail, and teamwork and collaboration skills. Additionally, it is often important to be able to work independently and be self-motivated, as well as possess good communication and writing skills.
The biggest challenges facing chemists today include the need for new sustainable technologies, the dangers of chemical spills and accidents, and the increasing cost of raw materials.
Chemistry is such an integral part of our lives, and it has so many potential applications in the future. I think that chemistry will continue to play a major role in developing new technologies and improving the quality of our lives. In particular, I see great potential for advances in green chemistry and biochemistry. The field of psychology has always held a special interest for me. I find the study of human behavior both fascinating and informative.
