  1. 1. How have you developed your accounting skills?

    One of the most challenging accounting problems that I ever had to solve was figuring out how to account for a foreign subsidiary. This subsidiary was based in a foreign country and did business in that country as well as other countries. The accounting rules for this situation were very complex, and I had to figure out how to apply them to the subsidiary's financial statements. I also had to make sure that the financial statements were in compliance with all of the relevant foreign laws and regulations. It was a challenging but ultimately very satisfying project.

    In my opinion, the most important qualities for an accountant are honesty, diligence, and accuracy. An accountant must be honest in order to maintain the trust of their clients and employers. They must be diligent in order to ensure that their work is completed accurately and on time. And finally, they must be accurate in order to avoid mistakes that could potentially cost their clients or employer money.

    The most complex financial statement that I have worked on was a multi-company consolidation. This involved consolidating the financial statements of several companies into a single statement. I had to account for all the transactions between the companies, as well as make sure the statement was in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). It was a challenging but very rewarding project.

    The biggest challenge facing accountants today is the increasing use of technology in the workplace. However, with the right tools and training, accountants can overcome this obstacle and continue to provide valuable services to their clients.

    I absolutely see myself staying in accounting for the long haul! Plus, I'm really passionate about accounting and love everything about it. I can't imagine ever wanting to leave this career.
